This review is for an on-site dosa party catering in may 2023. 10/10 for food, service and communication. I had always wanted to host a dosa party but never had enough crowd since most dosa catering a require a minimum of 50. Even though there are several restaurants that also do it- Rukhmani stands out with her prompt responses, clean and healthy preparation, great communication and lower minimum people requirement. She was very friendly over phone- provided her recommendations. I loved all her appetizer ideas- was very confused to choose one. She even allowed me to sample some of the options before I chose. The food was excellent. The dosas were very tasty! The staff who made the dosas for us was very patient. He was also offering recommendations since some of my guests didn't know much about dosas. My guests loved them and had one of each which made me happy as the host! I loved the fact that they didn't want to waste food after the party- they even gave me the batter and I loved how conscious they were about wastage. Overall- I would recommend Rukhmani and team if you're looking to cater or have onsite parties :)

Omg. What even. Dosa batter in a waffle? My taste buds were in heaven. Just ordered the plain dosa with paneer tikka masala and the chana masala. Delicious! Felt really healthy for takeout, fresh and wasn't soggy whatsoever. The depth of flavor was delicious. Bonus: the coconut chutney is amazing and not spicy. So glad to have you in the neighborhood. Thank you for the care you place in your food, it clearly shows!

So unique! I love dosas and this puts a great twist on it. Dosa batter waffles with different types of toppings, what a novel idea. I got the paneer tikka masala topping with cheese, korma, and coconut chutney. It was pretty rich as expected but very good. Pick up was a challenge. I ordered online and got to this "cloud kitchen" type pick-up location and did not find Once Upon a Dosa listed. I ended up calling them and they then brought the food out. Please go ahead and try it out and support this woman-owned business! More power to them and congrats to them on their unique and good food.

I ordered the Hariyali Aloo waffle and curry bowl thru DoorDash. I love dosas. This was the first time I had dosas disguised as waffles! The taste was amazing. I also ordered the Coconut Mango dessert which was basically mango flavored waffle topped with mango sauce and fresh mangoes. Had to fight with my wife for the last piece :D Next time will remember to order 2 :)

Such a unique and fun restaurant! I'm a big fan of Indian food so I was drawn to the idea of savory dosa waffles. Once Upon a Dosa offers various types of curries/fixings on a thick, Belgian-like waffle made of flavored dosa batter. I got the Hariyali Aloo and Potato Channa, which both came in a to-go box with the waffle on the bottom and fixings on top. The flavors were great, however I would prefer a larger ratio of vegetables/curry to the microgreens because it wasn't extremely filling. The waffle was not at its crispest due to the food resting on top, so I would recommend giving an option to receive the waffle in a separate container to preserve the crunch. Overall, I love the ideology and concept of Once Upon a Dosa! I do think they can work on their flavors and packaging a bit more, but I would come back!

Wow! I feel like my auntie just came by with home made food... Except waffle dosa!!! yum! i had the mushroom masala bowl with potato masala , micro greens and a fantastic tamarind sauce! I had a Chia rose almond milk ( the almond milk may be house made) for dessert i had a coconut mango waffle! This food was so fresh and lovely. Sorry about the picture it smelled so good i couldn't wait!
